	HOME OUR STORY OUR LAND THE NAME OUR AMBITION WHO WE ARE WHERE WE ARE SPECIES LIST CONTACT US		In 1997 we purchased a 70acre plot of land in Costa Rica’s Pacific slope. The property had been severely deforested from years of monoculture farming and extensive cattle grazing. Our ambition was to restore the property to its original ecological state. In time we developed good relations with the local residents and benefited from their help and advice in collecting a large variety of suitable species for this project. Our property being situated in a ten square kilometer area where three climatic zones meet aided us in reforesting with large diversity of species. Many of the locals have been responsive to the actions we have taken and emulate much of what we are doing. At this point in time, our efforts have proven to be successful which is evident by the revival of local populations of wildlife and by the greening of our property. In July 2005 we purchased 20 additional acres of land adjoining our land to protect our waters.
